This policy explains what NamedRight.com ("Named Right," "we," "us"), operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] , collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what you give us to deliver the work, we don't sell it, and we keep things minimal.
1. The Name Scanner runs in your browser
Names you type into the Name Scanner are never sent to us. The scanner's scoring runs entirely on your own device, in your browser. We do not transmit, log, or store the names you test — which matters, because unlaunched business names are sensitive. Your candidate names stay yours.
2. What we collect
- Evaluation and engagement requests. When you submit our request form or email us, we receive what you provide: your name, email address, the business name(s) in question, and your description of the business.
- Intake questionnaires. Clients complete a questionnaire covering their business, market, competitors, and naming constraints. This is used solely to perform the engagement.
- Transaction details. If you purchase a service or domain, payment is processed by a third-party payment or escrow provider; we receive confirmation details but do not store full payment card numbers.
- Basic technical logs. Our hosting provider may log IP addresses and request data for security and operations, as virtually all web hosts do.
3. What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
- We do not run advertising or share your information with advertisers.
- This site sets no tracking cookies of its own.
- We do not use your confidential candidate names or business plans for any purpose other than your engagement. See also the confidentiality section of our Terms.
4. How we use information
To respond to your request, deliver the service you purchased, send you the deliverables and related correspondence, invoice you, and meet legal and accounting obligations. With your separate permission, we may reference anonymized or approved results in case studies.
5. Service providers
We use a small number of providers to operate: website hosting, email, form processing, payment processing, and escrow services for domain transactions. Each receives only what's necessary to perform its function.
6. Retention
We keep engagement records (intake, reports, correspondence) for as long as needed to support the work and meet legal obligations, typically [N years] . You can ask us to delete your information sooner; we'll honor the request except where retention is legally required.
